Dr. Ali received his medical degree in 2001 at Ain Shams University, Cairo, Egypt. He became a member of the Royal College of Pediatrics and Child Health (MRCPCH) in 2012 and worked in Pediatrics and Pediatric Hematology Oncology in Egypt and Saudi Arabia.
In 2014- 2020 he completed his Pediatric Hematology Oncology as well as Bone Marrow Transplantation (BMT) fellowships at The Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, then worked as a clinical associate. In 2018, he completed the RCPSC Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Examination Board certification under the subspecialty affiliate program.
In February 2020, Dr. Ali relocated to Sheffield Children's Hospital in the United Kingdom to work as a consultant in Pediatric Hematology and BMT. Then, in August 2021, joined the Hematology Oncology team at Leeds Children's Hospital.
Research interests include hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis, infections and supportive care in pediatric hematology oncology.
He also served as a Chief Fellow at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto and received the Victor S. Blanchette Fellowship Award.
