Clinical Programs

Welcome to the Department of Pediatrics at Queen’s University and the Kingston Health Sciences Centre. Our tightly-knit department has a reputation for excellence in patient care, research and education - a standard nurtured by the commitment and compassion of our team of faculty and residents.

Inpatient Pediatrics

Our medical, surgical and oncology units offer comprehensive inpatient pediatric care that serve patients from birth until their 18th birthday. Our inpatient team is supported by a dedicated interprofessional team of pediatric medical and surgical specialists, nurses, child life specialists and other health professionals.

General Pediatrics

Our General Pediatricians provide a comprehensive range of services in consulting and ambulatory pediatrics.

Neonatology

Our Neonatologists are dedicated to providing the most advanced and compassionate care for our youngest patients. While most of the infants we care for are premature, some are full-term babies who have complications.

Subspecialty Care

Our subspecialty pediatricians and geneticists provide inpatient and outpatient tertiary-level consultation in range of specialties, including cardiology, respirology, developmental pediatrics, genetics, metabolic disorders, endocrinology, infectious diseases and neurology. In addition, they support a broad range of specialized clinical programs.
